Zeltinger Sundial

In the wine growing region of Zeltinger-Rachtig, the Zeltinger Sonnenuhr or Zeltinger Sundial is an interesting landmark. Belonging to the 17th Century, the sundial is one of the oldest one in the Moselle Valley region. Similar sundials can be found in the Wehlen region but this one holds significance for being the largest of its extant present in any German vineyard. A must-visit, this sundial is a defining characteristic of the wine growing regions of Moseltal.
