Located in the center of the town, the Arizona Copper Art Museum is the only comprehensive museum dedicated to the mineral 'Copper' that defined the history and economy of the region. The museum is spread over a large area and has galleries filled from floor to ceiling with thousands of objects made of copper from the past 500 years. The Verde River, which is one of the last free-flowing rivers in Arizona, is an important habitat for a variety of wildlife, including over 200 species of birds, and visitors can catch glimpses of them from the river trail. Additionally, the park offers camping and RV sites, as well as restrooms and picnic areas. The park is open year-round and there is no fee for entry.
