Rinkenturm is a lookout tower in Baiersbronn, Germany. It was built in 1914 by the Württemberg Black Forest association but acquired by the Baiersbonn municipality in 1982. Built from red sandstone, this tower stands tall overlooking the Murg Valley on the high Rinkenkopf Mountain. Visitors can see some amazing views of the Murgtal, in particular the towns of Klosterreichenbach and Baiersbronn from the top of this tower.
Gengenbach, a fairytale town in the heart of the Black Forest, captivates visitors with its fanciful architecture, charming alleys, and baroque buildings that line its cobbled streets. Its Altstadt, or historic Old Town, is the ideal place to begin exploring this town. Visitors can marvel at Gengenbach's well-preserved arsenal of half-timbered houses in the pedestrianized Engelgasse, or soak in the beautiful historic atmosphere near its weathered fortifications. If you're visiting in early January, make the most of the pre-Lent carnival known as Fasnacht, which is popular in these parts.
