When you first paddle to the shores of Reed Island State Park, you will be greeted by the sight of tall deciduous and evergreen trees. Once docked in, set up camp and take in the breathtaking views of the basalt cliffs that stand guard in an imposing manner. Walk along the sun-dappled beach as you bask in the panorama and explore the rest of the island on foot, where a myriad of meadows beckon to be admired. Camping here is very primitive with no facilities, which when combined with its remote location, truly makes it an authentic and rustic wilderness experience.
