Rieterpark

One of Zurich's many attraction, the beautiful landscaped garden of Rieterpark is perhaps among the most popular. Once a part of the Rietberg mansion, this 6.8 hectares (17 acres) large park exudes the charm and elegance of the glamorous 19th century with stone fountains, ponds, lovely flowerbeds and 150 year old beech trees. Peaceful, clean and charming, the park is a perfect place to spend a day reading under the sun with views of the stunning Glarus Alps visible on a clear day. It also hosts many classical concerts and theater performances from time to time.
