This is not exactly bon marché, but you can come here and be seen and enjoy being part of the party. Once an old “Wirtshaus”, JOSEF is now a young and trendy restaurant with a slight Indian accent on the menu. There is also a very nice bar that functions independently from the restaurant; it's called “Maria”. This is the place where you will find students as well as the artsy types. The interior design of the bar (and of the restrooms) is very appealing too. It's a popular place for an aperitif, and in summer you will find some small tables on the pavement.

Amid brightly colored flowers and lush greenery stands the Frau Gerolds Garten, offering diners pleasant food and ample Belgian brews. The setting is brilliant and is replete with pots and boxes bursting with small plants and flowers. One might even spot yellow-bellied toads in mini ponds. A good idea for an afternoon meal in bright sunshine, the Frau Gerolds Garten is a popular stop among locals and visitors alike. In winter, they set up a wooden pavilion and serve fondue and other winter specialties. Despite the food being exceptional here, it is not all that the place has to offer. Besides being a kitchen garden that serves fresh produce, Frau Gerolds Garten also sells its wares through small shops on the premises. The patio/garden is an ideal place for the food festivals and art exhibitions it hosts.

Zurich City blessed with picturesque and scenic locations is also famed for its rich and varied cuisines. Savor the taste of the city at the celebrated and classy Parkhuus restaurant. It is housed in the Park Hyatt Zurich. Aroma of the delicious meals that welcome you, marks the beginning of the gourmet journey. Watching the chef preparing variety of savories and baking the dishes in the oven, further whets your appetite. Extensive wine list serves as a perfect accompaniment. The locals frequent the place to gorge on the Oven-Roast Red Snapper and Lamb Tenderloin. A real treat for true gourmands.

Restaurant Reithalle breathed new life into a former cavalry station. Located at the historic Theaterhaus Gessnerallee, the place restores original features of the horse stable, complete with a rustic charm. The vibe is casual and laid-back and offers a communal-style seating arrangement that allows for a shared table with local patrons. The menu is primarily Swiss and German with selected global specialties gracing the menu. From Italian homemade ravioli and pappardelle, roasted salmon trout fillet and bouillabaisse, to Indian spicy lamb curry and satay skewers, the fare is paired best with the European wine list. The beer gardens transport you to Munich while the exposed wooden beams indoors make for a quaint ambiance.
